True Crime Night is coming to The Brook for two standalone events, each exploring a different real-life crime story with acclaimed true-crime author and podcaster Vikki Petraitis.
The first event, held on Friday 2 October, will revisit the Russell Street bombing—one of Victoria’s most significant criminal investigations.
Forty years after a car bomb exploded outside Melbourne’s police headquarters, Vikki will be joined in conversation by former Victoria Police constable Carl Donadio, who survived the attack.
Together, they will revisit that mild Easter afternoon in 1986—the explosion, the frantic search for those responsible and the lasting impact of an attack that changed Victoria Police forever.
The evening will also respectfully remember 21-year-old Constable Angela Taylor, who was critically injured in the bombing and tragically did not survive.
A second True Crime Night will take place on Friday 30 October, featuring a separate story and theme. Further details will be announced soon.
